World Ijtema Concludes with Final Prayer

The World Ijtema concluded with the Akheri Munajat, led by Maulana Yusuf bin Saad. After the final prayer, the annual gathering of Tabligh Jamaat successfully wrapped up with strengthened security measures.

Dhaka :The 2023 World Ijtema came to a close on Sunday with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer). The prayer, which began at 12:37 PM, was led by Maulana Yusuf bin Saad, the eldest son of Maulana Saad Kandhlawi from India.

Mohammad Sayem, the coordinator of the Tabligh Jamaat's World Ijtema, stated that Maulana Yusuf bin Saad began his sermon at 9:30 AM on Sunday, which was translated into Bengali by Maulana Munir bin Yusuf. The Akheri Munajat immediately followed the sermon.

The final day’s formalities of the World Ijtema began after the Fajr prayers with the sermon. Maulana Morsalin from India delivered the sermon after Fajr prayers, and it was translated into Bengali by Mufti Azim Uddin.

Additionally, security arrangements were heightened by the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) to ensure a smooth and safe conclusion of the event. With this, the World Ijtema successfully came to an end.
