Trump Demands Release of All Hostages in Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump demands the release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza by Saturday. He warns that the ceasefire should end if the hostages are not freed by noon.

Dhaka: U.S. President Donald Trump has demanded the release of all hostages held by the Hamas militant group in Gaza by this Saturday. He further stated that if the hostages are not freed by noon on Saturday, the ceasefire should end. Trump made these remarks in a press briefing on Monday, according to Al Jazeera.

Hamas, accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, announced on Monday that it would delay the release of the next batch of hostages indefinitely. This decision was made public through a Telegram post, prompting Trump’s comments.

Labeling Hamas's decision as "terrible," Trump said that the final decision on the ceasefire should be left to Israel.

"If all hostages are not returned by 12:00 PM on Saturday, the ceasefire should be canceled," Trump emphasized. He also mentioned the possibility of speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on this issue.

Meanwhile, Trump warned that if Egypt and Jordan oppose Gaza’s occupation, their assistance will be cut off. "If they do not agree with my proposal, we will stop their support," the U.S. President said.
